We have been asked our wishes for wedding gifts. And have decided to create a list and  register on line with kitchn (home ware store if you are not familiar).

With the gifts comes a little situation/problem, since we are getting married in Poland (leaving 19.08), and soon after we are departing on our honeymoon trip ( 12 day only) it will be inconvenience for us to get the gifts there. however we have found a solution or just a suggestion. We tough that a wedding card with a picture of the gift  that you are generously gifting us is an a good idea. Gift itself you could deliver or send it by post to our home address here in Tromsø:

My Home Town

As you know from the previous blog post we will be staying at my home town until Friday, the day before wedding. We will still have a lot things to fix before our BIG DAY, and is just going to be easier for us to stay there.

For the accommodations, i can give you some clue, but take in advice that i have never stayed in any hotel in my hometown. There is few options you can go for: 

Apartments to rent, they are usually very close to promenade and the beach, however  in summer season they renting mostly for a week minimum. My Mum went to some of them and they willing to rent for period shorter than a week. The conditions are that you actually have to call them, on line reservation for shorter period is not possible. If you are doing your own research and there is no on line booking (or there is minimum staying period) you have to call them or email them.

Hotels. I have found a couple, different price range, location in variation as well, nothing to far from the beach, promenade or the city. 

Here also, if you are unable or cannot find on line reservation you have to call them or email them.

This first one i know for sure you have to call, if you do ask for Arleta Rokicka she is a marketing manager there and fluent in English, i am including this one just because this was our first choice for a wedding, and in my opinion the area there is wonderful.

Finaly i can write a little bit about the hotel, you will find most of the information on their web site, and if you have some additional question that you can not find it there please let me know and i will try my best to help you.

To  make your reservation you can call them at 0048 913862420 or by e-mail  biuro@palac-trzesacz.pl, make sure you let them know that is for Katarzyna and Sindre wedding.

You can prepay your hotel room with a transfer and information about that you can find in the contact on the hotel web site, otherwise you have to pay cash at the hotel on check in or out. 

On the night of the wedding they are offering a discount rate for our guests. 

Breakfast is not included in the price of the room, however is available at 15zl per person. I don't have information what type of breakfast it is, but if it is something that you would like to get some info about it, let us know.

Hotel rooms do not have hair dryer's! They are electrical sockets 220v in the room so you can bring your own. Hotel will have available iron, and ironing board. (maybe at some small charge?) Towels are included in the room.

We most probably will arrive to the hotel on Friday, the day before the ceremony and we thinking to organise a small get together that afternoon/evening, the details are not final yet so we let you know about that in the future. Until Friday we will stay at my home town Swinoujscie, sorting out last minute things.

You can take a taxi to Berlin HBF (main train station in Berlin ( if you have time to spare there are some shops here and restaurants)) cost about 20 euro,i have to mention Berlin Tegel is about 7-12 min with a taxi, quite central airport, or take a public transportation to the Berlinn HBF as well, I personally never use public transport yet

here you have an option you can travel to Szczecin and follow up with  the bus link just 4 lines up, or you can experience my home town for a day or to, and you should choose Swinoujscie Centrum.

The options from here are pretty much the same as from Berlin Tegel, however this airport is bit further from the city, taxi ride about 25-30 min, cost 40-50 euro to the Berlin HBF .

Szczecin Airport Transportation

Coming to Szczecin airport? 

Hmmm, unfortunately there is not direct transportation from airport to Trzesacz or my home town. However we working on organising some kind of transport, don't know yet much about it, all depend on how many of you arriving to Szczecin airport and when, so please if you know your date of arrival let us know as soon is possible. And we will compose new blogg post as soon we have the information.

You can also rent a car on the airport if you like to be more independent

If you decided that you wish to explore Szczecin city there is a bus, is departing 20 min after landing (no matter where are you coming from)

Traveling - Air

Most common way to travel to Poland from Norway will be by air, the closes airport is Szczecin http://www.airport.com.pl/en/  and is about 70km from Trzesacz

Poland

Let's start with some basic information's here, you could probably find most of on the internet but I will try to give you some essentials so you don't have to spend ours digging on line. 

Poland is in the Central European time zone  UTC+1. 

Currency here is polish zloty. (some more tourist places you can also pay in euro)

Our wedding will be hold in west Pomerania region, in village called Trzęsacz in Gryfice county. (until this post i was sure it was a small town)

Temperature last year in august was in the mid twenties, water temp vary between 15-20 degrees, so might pack your bikini just in case ;)
